Reposition yourself – Greater is Coming!

Reposition yourself – Greater is Coming!

Have you ever really wanted something that you just prayed and prayed about it?

You see, we often do just that, pray. Prayer is not enough for us to receive an answered prayer! In the Old Testament, Nehemiah, a cupbearer which was seen as a trusted position to the King, was sadden that the wall of Jerusalem was destroyed and that his fellow brothers were living in such despair. Nehemiah prayed deeply for God to change things around on their behalf. Yet, this is where most of us stop! Nehemiah, on the other hand, took the next step of Faith and started planning for the day in which God would answer his prayer. He knew( had faith) that God would one day answer his prayer and so he took that time that God gave him to prepare himself for what God had in store.

Three steps to position oneself for a blessing:

  1. Pray (Prayer) – Submit your request, prays, desires, and dreams to GOD. [1 John 5:14-15, Philippians 4:6]
  2. Plan (Planning) – Take action and make God a vital part of your plans. [Proverbs 22:3]
  3. Prepare (Preparation) – Take the waiting period and make preparations to be ready when he answers your prayers. [Proverbs 24:27]

The Bible states in Proverbs 16: 1-9 (NKJV)

1 "The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. 2) All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes; But the Lord weighs the spirits. 3) Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. 4) The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom. 5) Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished .6) In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil. 7) When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8) Better is a little with righteousness, Than vast revenues without justice. 9) A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps”.

Are you ready for God’s move in your life? Spend that time today examining whether you have been actively preparing or whether you have been passively waiting for something to occur.

Today, start planning for your answered prayers!
